This web site is provided as a resource to assist a wide array of constituents including current students, alumni, parents, and University faculty and staff.
Students - Whatever your specific academic goal, you have made a fine choice in selecting the University of Alabama, the Flagship, as your institution of higher education. Your decision to enroll at UA has been based on careful consideration regarding the quality of our academic programs, the reputation of faculty, and the multi-dimensional opportunities provided by this University. Our desire is that you focus your efforts on academics, not administrative matters. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible service delivered to you on your terms.
Alumni - Whether you are interested in resuming enrollment at the University of Alabama, or are in need of an official transcript for employment, professional certification, or other purposes, our goal is to provide you with efficient service and complete information.
Parents - The University of Alabama's basic position is that your child is independent and should be your prime source for information related to your student's experience at UA. Federal legislation limits the information we may share with you regarding your student. I invite you to examine the Information for Parents section for additional information.
Faculty and Staff - This Web site provides extensive information related to the Banner Student Information System, enrollment reporting, information technology documentation and various policies and procedures. Many of these information services are secure sites that require prior authorization before access is allowed.
Regardless of your role, our job is to serve you. We take this responsibility seriously and strive to provide you with the best service possible. If you have a suggestion about how we can serve you better, I would like to hear from you. If you feel that you have not been served satisfactorily, I would like to know about your experience. Please feel free to contact me by phone at 205.348.2857 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Office of the University Registrar is pleased to announce it has expanded your transcript delivery options to include a secure PDF. This version of the official transcript presents the same information, in the same format, found on the traditional printed documents. PDF delivered transcripts are secured by a digital certificate. This certificate insures the recipient of two important details:
To order a secure PDF transcript, simply log in to the Student tab of myBama. Under the Access Important Student Documents menu, select Order Official Transcript. The option to send a secure PDF transcript will appear once you have indicated that you wish to make a regular request to be delivered to a recipient. The service charge for the option of sending a transcript electronically as a secure PDF is $6.00 plus the cost of the transcript.
Important Note #1: You will be asked to enter a recipient’s e-mail address for any Third Party orders. It is your responsibility to make sure the e-mail address is entered correctly. If a recipient is another academic institution and the school is in the Credentials’ “TranscriptsNetwork™”, the order form will not ask for an e-mail but the transcript will be sent electronically based on the recipient’s electronic preferences. In either case, you will get an acknowledgement from the system when the recipient has opened the transcript.
Important Note #2: Certificate of Authenticity - The University of Alabama has appointed Credentials Inc. as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic transcripts. The electronic transcript that is produced using this service contains the identical information as the printed transcript and can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company’s website that is provided during the delivery process as well securing the document with a digital certificate. Credentials Inc. has been granted the authority to deliver all such electronic transcript requests on behalf of the University of Alabama and will respond to any inquiries regarding the transactions.
