Enrollment verification provides proof of enrollment for a student’s financial lender, insurance company or sponsor. Enrollment verification may be obtained in one of the following ways:

  • Current Students
  • Former Students/Employers/3rd Parties
    • The University of Alabama has contracted with The National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment verification.  The University of Alabama will not directly provide enrollment verification for current or former students.  Certification of enrollment for a students can be requested from the National Student Clearinghouse.
    • At the National Student Clearinghouse home page, select the “Colleges & Universities” option from the menu. Then select the”EnrollmentVerify” link from the drop-down menu.
      You will be prompted to select the credit card link to proceed.
The University of Alabama has contracted with The National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree verification and past attendance confirmations. The Clearinghouse can be contacted in the following manner:

  • Current Students
    • Sign into myBama
    • Click on  “Student” in the left menu
    • Find the “Self-Service Banner” channel
    • Click on “Student Services”->”Student Records”->”Verify Degree or Past Attendance”
  • Former Students and Third Parties:

For enrollment verification to lenders, the University of Alabama participates in the National Student Clearinghouse. The University submits a report of students’ enrollment status to the Clearinghouse at the end of each month during the semester which, in turn, supplies verification of enrollment to lending agencies. The University of Alabama does not supply this information directly to lending agencies. If a student has registered late or has had an exception processed to the term registration, this information may not be reported until the submission of the next file.Alternatively, students are free to generate a current enrollment verification in myBama and send it directly to their lender.  Currents students can generate that letter in the following manner:

  • Sign into myBama
  • Click on  “Student” in the left menu
  • Find the “Self-Service Banner” channel
  • Click on “Student Services”->”Student Records”->”Verify Degree or Past Attendance”
Students wanting to place an order over the telephone may do so by calling Credentials, Inc. and using the TranscriptsPlus ordering system. Operators are available Monday through Thursday from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Central Time and on Friday from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. Central Time. There is an additional $10.00 surcharge for all telephone requests. Users must use a credit card and have access to either an e-mail account or fax machine in order to provide a written authorization for release of the transcript.   • $10 per transcript (additional $10 surcharge for all telephone orders)
  • $20.00 for overnight service (Continental USA)
  • $23.00 for overnight service (Alaska & Hawaii)
  • $43.00 for international destinations
  • $6.00 plus the cost of the transcript for secure electronic delivery in PDF format

Due to Personal Credit Card Industry (PCI) requirements, The University of Alabama will no longer accept transcript requests via mail, fax, or email with credit card information listed.

The University of Alabama will resend a transcript to the same address at no charge after 15 days and up to 30 days from the date of initial order. Requests for resend before 15 days and after 30 days of initial order will require additional payment.
