Spring 2027 Important Scheduling Dates

| Monday, July 6 | Spring terms are open for edits in CLSS. Colleges and departments may assign sections to non-optimized classrooms within their scheduling units. |
| Tuesday, September 1 & Wednesday, September 2 | Validation Days – All scheduling units must validate their Spring schedules as they will be switched to Refine Mode and bridged to Banner. |
| Wednesday, September 2 | Deadline for all Spring term edits in CLSS. All scheduling units should validate their Spring schedules by this deadline as they will be switched to Refine Mode and bridged to Banner. |
| Friday, September 4 | Spring syllabi available to faculty for editing in Simple Syllabus. |
| Friday, September 4 – Tuesday, September 11 | Optimization and room scheduling in Astra. |
| Monday, September 14 – Friday, September 25 | Manual adjustments made within CLSS/Astra. OUR will take room requests for Shared Spaces. |
| Monday, September 28 | Spring schedule of classes viewable to students in myBama. |
| Monday, September 28 | Upon request, OUR will begin reserving all classrooms, auditoriums, and seminar rooms at the shared space seat fill with the exceptions of Law, Nursing, and the Moody Music Building. |
| Monday, October 26 | Registration opens for Spring 2027 |
| Monday, October 26 | Event Scheduling in Astra opens for the Spring 2027 term |
| Friday, October 30 | All priority final exams should be booked for FALL finals. Any final exam not scheduled in accordance with the final exam schedule may lose the room, date, and time to other final exams and University scheduling needs |
| Monday, November 9 | Final exam room scheduling opens for extra or designated space not schedulable during the final exam priority scheduling period. |
